Is the tea used for oil extraction the same as the tea used for drinking?

|Is the tea used for oil extraction the same as the tea used for drinking?|

No.
Although they are both called tea (the same family and genus, Theaceae Camellia), they are not the same species.
Oil-seed camellia (C. oleifera) is used to extract oil, the oil extracted from the seeds of Oil-seed camellia is called "Bitter tea oil" or "Tea seed oil". The oil extracted from the seeds of the common tea tree (C. sinensis) is less than the oil-seed camellia.
